Community Connector
Peter Bedford Housing Association is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Community Connector to join our team, working closely with East London Foundation Trust.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £31,376 per annum
Location: Kingsland Hub, 242 Kingsland Road, London, E8 4DG and a local NHS venue
Start Date: 1st October 2025
Our client, Peter Bedford Housing Association (PBHA), is a housing association with charitable aims that create positive change in people’s lives. As well as homes and support, they empower people to learn, access work and discover their creative talents. Based mainly in Hackney, Newham and Islington, they work with people who are homeless, have mental ill health, learning difficulties and multiple needs. PBHA’s work enables people to move on and lead independent lives.
PBHA are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Community Connector to join their team who will work closely with East London Foundation Trust. Working on a full-time, permanent basis, you will play an important role in engaging and supporting individuals in our local community, helping them access services, opportunities, and activities that foster social inclusion and independence.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one assessments and develop personalised support plans.
- Help people access mental health services and community activities.
- Identify and address wider needs, such as housing, finances, and employment.
- Maintain records and monitor outcomes for all service users.
- Work collaboratively with mental health and community partners.
- Promote PBHA participation opportunities and adhere to safeguarding procedures.
- Organise own workload and comply with PBHA policies.
Person specification:
- Experience supporting people with mental health needs in a person-centred way.
- Strong communication, organisational, and IT skills.
- Ability to build trust and motivate others.
- Team player with the ability to work independently.
- Commitment to equality, diversity, and reducing health inequalities.
