Inside Sales Representative

This is an exciting ground floor opportunity for an ambitious person to use their experience and best practice sales skills to develop the inside sales function both in the UK and internationally.


Hours:         Full Time Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week 
Duration:    Permanent
Salary:         £30,000 - £35,000 p/a plus commission (OTE £10,000)
Location:     Cranfield Bedfordshire

The Role

Reporting to the VP Sales, EMEA, the Inside Sales Representative will contribute directly to the company’s success by accelerating top-line revenue growth through both inbound and outbound sales methods from early stage through to deal close.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Take responsibility for regional inbound leads, prioritise opportunities and engage at the right time with appropriate information to move prospects through the sales funnel, continually requalifying and prioritising
• Design and execute outbound campaigns by researching and profiling new targets, creating prospect lists and reaching out by phone, email and in person
• Take a consultative / solution selling approach to gain a comprehensive understanding of a prospect’s challenges and strategy and decision-making process
• Deliver online demos, effectively communicating the most relevant features and benefits of our solution
• Help shorten our sales cycle by following up diligently, thinking on your feet and being an excellent closer
• Work with “influencer” customers to organise local events to promote Crave and its proposition to prospects in the same area
• Constantly stay abreast of developments to our products, services and propositions and how to effectively communicate them to prospects
• Attend trade shows to promote Crave and our proposition to the market, stay in touch with industry developments and generate sales opportunities to personally follow up
• Maintain accurate lead qualification information in the CRM system and prepare pipeline reports
• Metrics include closed deals, annualised recurring revenue, and customer retention

Essential Experience

• 3-5 years successful track record in a goal oriented inside sales function
• Demonstrable capability to nurture and close opportunities through a consultative/solution based sales approach
• B2B sales experience, preferably in a SaaS based global technology market
• Strong understanding of prospecting, nurturing and sales best practices, preferably having undergone professional sales training and development 
• Understanding of digital technology
• Good working knowledge of CRM/marketing automation tools

Desirable experience

• Working in an international business 
• Selling in to the Hospitality sector
• Hospitality technology
• Familiarity with HubSpot Sales and Marketing tools

• Proactive and accountable with strong desire to achieve customer satisfaction and sales targets
• Strong ability to actively listen to understand and assess a customer’s needs and qualify them 
• Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to think on their feet to communicate the most relevant features and benefits of our solution at the right moment in terms of positive customer outcomes
• Strong phone and personal presence, comfortable initiating relaxed but informative two-way phone conversations with prospects; comfortable contacting a high number of leads per day
• Confident but humble enough to deal with General Manager/Director level customers 
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
• A highly collaborative team player with a willingness to continually learn and develop
• Flexibility to occasionally support international trade shows and local sales campaign events
