Enhanced Housing Management Coordinator
The Enhanced Housing Management Coordinator will lead our Enhanced Housing Management team to provide a quality housing service to tenants with additional tenancy sustainment needs
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £32,418-£34,644 per annum
Location: Clissold Community Hub, N16
Our client, Peter Bedford Housing Association (PBHA), is a housing association with charitable aims that create positive change in people’s lives. Based mainly in Hackney, Newham and Islington, they work with people who are homeless, have mental ill health, learning difficulties and multiple needs. The Enhanced Housing Management Coordinator will lead our Enhanced Housing Management team to provide a quality housing service to tenants with additional tenancy sustainment needs.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Supervising staff and volunteers in line with PBHA policies and procedures
- Ensuring quality service delivery via staff supervision and auditing
- Recruitment and induction of new workers and volunteers
- Identifying individual tenancy sustainment needs
- Provide a weekly housing management drop in
- Liaise with other departments to provide effective prevention and management of rent arrears
- Record and monitor any breaches of tenancy agreement
- Liaise with colleagues to ensure properties are let within agreed timescales
- Arrange viewings and carry out sign ups of occupancy agreements and assist in the moving in/out process
- Deal with complaints, nuisance and tenancy disputes as they arise
- Carry out regular building inspections, helping tenants to report repairs
- Carry out H&S and fire checks and assessment
- Reporting safeguarding concerns as appropriate
- Participate in a rota to provide cover out of hours.
Person specification:
- To have worked in a paid or voluntary capacity with at least one of the following groups: people who have mental ill health, learning difficulties, people who have been homeless, or people who have had substance misuse issues
- Supervisory experience, able to lead a team
- Experience in recruiting team members
- Experience in building effective internal and external working relationships
- Collaborative and positive work ethic, with good negotiation skills
- Outcome focused, able to prioritise and plan with great time management
- Good communication skills
- Good IT skills, including using Microsoft Office.
