Project Engineer
PWR are seeking a Project Engineer to develop technical solutions with the customers through close collaboration with engineering and design teams to leverage PWR’s service capabilities
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 per annum, depending on experience

Our client’s newly established facility at Rugby is expanding rapidly and they are seeking motivated and committed people to join their team. As they develop and grow their manufacturing and production facility, PWR are seeking a Project Engineer to develop technical solutions with the customers through close collaboration with engineering and design teams to leverage PWR’s service capabilities and commercialise opportunities to deliver value to the customer and PWR.
The Project Engineer role requires ownership of projects won to deliver customer service from order placement to delivery of the project and ongoing support as required.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Customer correspondence – discussing with customers technical and commercial issues for new and on-going projects
- Collaborating with the design, engineering and other groups to develop project solutions
- Develop project timing and detailed quotations
- Release and co-ordination of projects for manufacture
- Ensuring customer requirements, quality and project timing is being met with projects progressing through manufacture
- Working closely with procurement and suppliers to source unique project materials or services
- Product development and improving engineering processes
- Leverage product knowledge and technical understanding to assist with new sales opportunities
- Failure analysis and review of existing products to develop improvements where possible.
Person specification:
- Mechanical Engineering qualifications
- Previous practical full time experience in a manufacturing environment
- A team player, problem solver and result focussed
- Advanced level computer skills
- Experience managing design processes and competent use of CAD for component or project review
- Excellent technical customer service skills with strong commercial acumen
- Dedication, drive and passion for the industry
- Self-motivated and able to monitor personal workload
- Ability to effectively prioritise customer requirements
- Solid written & verbal communication skills
- Hands-on and practical approach.
